Whether you choose evaporative air conditioning, ducted gas heating or reverse cycle air conditioning; the airflow and size of the area you wish to cool will be the largest determinants of which model is best suited to your needs. Whilst it may seem that bigger can only be better, a correctly sized air conditioner for your home will run far more efficiently, which equates to maximised electricity cost savings. Make sure you discuss all options with your Dealer/Installer to find the model best suited to you and your family.

This is a key consideration as it improves your home’s ability to maintain a consistent temperature. A well-insulated home may only need a lower capacity unit in comparison to a poorly insulated home, which can save you money on installation and running costs..
As the name suggests, evaporative cooling, also known as evaporative air conditioning uses evaporation to help cool the air. Based on the principles of evaporation, hot and dry outside air is pumped through water-soaked cooling pads. As the air is pushed through the cooling pads, the water evaporates and the heat in the air is absorbed, which lowers the air temperature. A fan then pushes the cool air throughout the house via a network of ducts.

Ducted gas heating is the easiest, most comfortable way to heat your entire home, and is the ultimate in comfort, safety, reliability and energy efficiency. A ducted gas heater is a whole of home solution that allows you to heat the whole house using just one system. It works by taking air from within the house, heating it then distributing through a series of duct work and outlets in the ceiling.
Reverse cycle air conditioning is a system that can both cool and heat indoor spaces. It works by using a refrigeration cycle to transfer heat from one place to another. During cooling mode, it removes heat from the indoor air and releases it outside. During heating mode, it extracts heat from the outdoor air (even in cold temperatures) and transfers it inside to warm the space. This makes reverse cycle air conditioning efficient and versatile for maintaining comfortable temperatures year-round.
Add-on cooling systems are specifically designed to complement a new or existing* Braemar ducted gas heating system. Compact and economical to run, they use the same heating ductwork and can be installed at the same time as a ducted gas heating system, or added later.

*Applicable to installations where airflow requirements and duct design are suitable. Not all models of Braemar ducted gas heaters are suitable for add-on cooling, so please check with your dealer/installer.
Ducted air conditioning refers to a centralised cooling and/or heating system that uses a network of ducts to distribute conditioned air throughout your home. This system typically consists of an indoor unit that is connected to a network of ducts and vents strategically placed in various rooms or zones. The cooled or heated air is then distributed through these ducts to maintain consistent temperatures throughout the entire space. Ducted air conditioning offers the advantage of being discrete, as the ducts and vents are often hidden from view, providing a more seamless appearance in interior spaces.
