First established by Frank Seeley, the Everglades Fund now supports more than 50 organisations that span the Arts, community, health, children, church and missionary work.
When the Seeley International team meets with its extensive dealer network for an annual conference a $10 aptly-named bottle of Braemar scotch becomes the centrepiece of fundraising efforts, with the Everglades funding typically it matches more than just the winning bid.
Since it was first auctioned in 2001, this unopened bottle has now raised more than $2.9m, with monies generally divided between a charity that supports Australian children and an initiative that helps children in the country that hosts the annual conference.
