Our rigorous quality testing processes have detected a potential problem with the Convair Prestigio convection panel heater.
In some circumstances, the element connection may overheat and become detached. The detached ‘live’ connector could then come in contact with the unearthed rear metal panel. If the defect is present, making contact with the ‘live’ rear panel could possibly result in an electric shock hazard.
As a result, it has been decided to recall the product. The recall affects Prestigio models – including the white, black and mirror finish models with the following Seeley International product numbers only:
CPH01B 1500W Black (Product No: 001449)
CPH01W 1500W White (Product No: 001456)
CPH02B 2000W Black (Product No: 001463)
CPH02W 2000W White (Product No: 001470)
CPH02M 2000W Mirror (Product No: 001494)
The model and product number can be found on the side of the heater below the control panel.
There have been no issues in the field, no injuries to people and no damage to property. However, it is our company philosophy to take a responsible and prudent approach to product quality and safety, which is why we are recalling the product.
What you need to do
Stop using the product immediately and contact us to arrange for a brand new product replacement within 10 days of returning the heater to us at a place near you.
