Ross Pamment – Winemaker
Ross Pamment is a winemaker with over 30 years of experience. He began his career as a cellar hand at Houghton in 1989, and has since worked at several wineries in Australia and France.
With a keen interest in pinot noir and chardonnay, he ventured to Burgundy, France, in 1990, to undertake a vintage with Louis Chapuis of Aloxe Corton.
He then spent two further years wandering the wine wilderness of Europe, each experience building his palate and desire to become a winemaker.
Ross is currently the senior winemaker at Sandalford Wines. In 2001, he won the inaugural Qantas Medal for excellence among young winemakers.
