IAQ Benefits for textile industry
- Fresh Air Circulation: It continuously introduces fresh outdoor air, preventing the buildup of stale air.
- Natural Air Filtration: The cooling pads clean the air from dust, fibers, and other contaminants, promoting cleaner, safer air in the production environment.
- Humidity Control: By adding moisture to the air, evaporative cooling helps maintain the ideal humidity levels, reducing dust and static electricity—critical for textile production processes.
- Pollutant Dilution: Fresh, filtered air helps to dilute airborne pollutants, odors, and chemicals commonly generated during textile manufacturing.
- No Recirculation: Evaporative cooling doesn’t recirculate air, which helps prevent the buildup of harmful gases and pollutants.
- Maintain the quality of the fabric: Evaporative cooling helps regulate humidity levels in the air, preventing static buildup and material damage.
- Healthier Work Environment: The combination of cleaner, cooler, and properly humidified air reduces respiratory issues and discomfort, enhancing worker well-being and productivity.

Harness the power of Evaporative cooling
Manufactura Turnu Magurele
Manufactura Turnu Magurele, a modern tailoring factory, faced significant heat issues due to large glass windows and lack of cooling during the summer. To solve this, they installed 4 Breezair evaporative coolers, which were placed on the roof and connected to a textile ducting system. The coolers provided 100% fresh air, improved indoor air quality, and drastically reduced energy costs, using only 5 kW/hour compared to 50 kW/hour with a previous chiller system. The energy-efficient Breezair system not only enhanced comfort for over 400 workers but also proved to be a cost-effective solution for industrial cooling.
Evaporative Cooling Applications
Evaporative air conditioning has a wide range of industrial cooling applications, such as textile industry and manufacture plants.
Evaporative cooling is highly effective for various industrial applications, especially in cooling manufacturing and production plants. It ensures excellent indoor air quality by continuously supplying 100% fresh, filtered outside air, enhancing ventilation, and lowering CO2 and VOC levels.
This system is perfect not only for comfort cooling but also for technical cooling, where specialized systems regulate and remove heat from machinery or equipment, ensuring optimal performance and preventing overheating.
The continuous recirculation of air maintains the high quality of the fabric and allows staff to breathe fresh air, free from the recirculation of odors, chemicals, and pollutants.

Evaporative air conditioning is a cost-effective cooling solution, ideal for the textile industry. It provides efficient cooling while using up to 80% less energy than traditional refrigerated systems, making it especially beneficial in environments where temperature control is crucial. The system is particularly effective in high-traffic areas, where doors are frequently opened and closed, helping maintain a consistent, comfortable temperature while reducing energy costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Evaporative air conditioners (coolers) are excellent for health
- They supply 100% fresh, filtered air into your building that is not recirculated, improving Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) of the space, supporting customer and staff well-being
- They remove unhealthy pollution from your indoor environment
- They provide basic moisture that the human body needs
- They remove static electricity; they can assist in reducing the effects of illnesses such as asthma.
A high inlet water temperature does not have a marked effect on the supply temperature of Seeley International’s evaporative air conditioners.
Yes. Outdoor areas have no walls to contain the cool air. These spaces would be impossible to cool using refrigerated air conditioning because this relies on recirculating and reusing air from a sealed area. Evaporative air conditioners (coolers) can easily supply a flow of fresh and cool air to open and semi open areas since the air is exhausted naturally.
In most cases evaporative air conditioners (coolers) marginally increase humidity, keeping in mind that temperature has also dropped significantly. It is the combination of temperature, humidity and airflow that creates human comfort and evaporative air conditioners are used widely around the world because they can create comfortable conditions. For example, 80% humidity and 30°C (86°F) is very uncomfortable, but 80% humidity and 16°C (61°F) is very comfortable. Comfort is also improved by increasing air velocity in hot conditions and evaporative air conditioners create sufficient air movement to minimise the effects of humidity.
Air inside the building collects heat, moisture and impurities and must be exhausted. The evaporative air conditioner (cooler) provides 100% outside air which must be relieved from the building. If the building is sealed, the effectiveness of the cooler(s) will be reduced. Mechanical extraction or even just leaving some doors or windows open helps remove unhealthy air from the indoor environment by supplying 100% fresh, filtered air. For this reason, evaporative air conditioners (coolers) are much healthier than refrigerated air conditioning.
