Perfect temperature for the production of glass components, thanks to hyper-efficient Indirect Evaporative cooling Climate Wizard.

JOHANN FRANZ KÖNIG GMBH & CO. is a company with over 180 years of experience, and recognized in the entire country for its expertise in all aspects of glass production. Their product portfolio includes glass panel cuts as well as glass doors, shower cubicles, roofs and railings.

The project requirements

Due to the increasing impact of global warming, which is becoming a widespread issue, it also became a concern for the company operating in their building, constructed in 1962. The temperatures inside the hall often exceeded 40° during summer, even when it was only 30° outside, making it impossible for the 30 employees to carry out their physical tasks effectively. To address this issue and create more acceptable working conditions, the company referred to Schulte-Industrieheizung GMBH to install a hall cooling system. The company was already familiar with Schulte’s heating system, which had proven highly effective during the winter months. The goal was to reduce the hall temperature by at least 10°. This presence in the hall of crane tracks and other space restrictions was causing additional challenges for the installation.

The installation

Other cooling systems were thoroughly evaluated, and a series of comparative calculations were conducted to determine the most suitable solution. After carefully assessing various options, it became clear that innovative, hyper-efficient Multi-cycle indirect evaporative cooling by Seeley International offered significant advantages in terms of both efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Not only did it deliver lower operational costs compared to other alternatives, but it also provided optimal cooling performance. The result was a noticeable improvement in the working environment, with employees expressing complete satisfaction. Ultimately, the company was able to implement the most efficient and economically viable solution, achieving the best possible outcome for all personnel involved.

“The aim was to lower the hall temperature by at least ten degrees. This was in an old existing hall in which crane tracks run and other things also require space. Of course, we also looked at other systems and carried out comparative calculations. From an economic point of view, evaporative cooling performs significantly better. The operating costs are also significantly lower and the result is such that the employees are completely satisfied and we have achieved the best possible result.”
