Adelaide Uni students will be blown away by new high-tech air conditioning

Renowned Adelaide-based innovator Frank Seeley AM, Chairman of Seeley International, is flying in from China to attend this morning’s official launch of the University of Adelaide’s $42 million innovative learning space, Hub Central.

The South Australian business leader will be checking out how the University project has implemented one of the most innovative, low energy cooling systems the world has ever seen.

Frank said that Seeley International had custom built a High Volume Module of its revolutionary Climate Wizard ultra-high-efficiency cooling technology, which was built into the open space facility.

“Climate Wizard’s ability to deliver lots of fresh, super-cooled air, very cost-effectively, was perfectly suited for the open space requirements of this project,” he said.

“The project’s mechanical services engineers, KBR, saw how Climate Wizard worked and realised its tremendous potential.”

Frank said he was thrilled to see the visionary, innovative approach taken in the Hub Central project.

“This kind of innovation is something that Seeley International has been championing for 40 years and we have been excited about the inclusion of our ground-breaking Climate Wizard technology in the Hub Central air conditioning system,” he said.

“It’s been fantastic to see the project’s engineers and ours, working together to come up with this truly inspirational and ground-breaking solution, which has slashed running costs so dramatically, that a new benchmark has now been established.

“We are altogether confident that the students using the centre will be delighted with the cool fresh comfort which Climate Wizard will deliver to the whole facility.”

Hub Central has been built with the support of the Federal Government’s Better Universities Renewal Funding ($15.5 million) and the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund ($1.5m).
