Climate Wizard wins yet another prestigious award, taking out a Housing and Building Design Award™ at the 2011 Australian International Design Awards.
The honourable Dean Brown accepted the award on behalf of Frank Seeley AM, Seeley International’s Founder and Chairman, at the spectacular Melbourne Docklands awards ceremony on the 22nd of July.
Frank said of the recognition at the recent awards, “It’s fantastic to receive this level of recognition for Climate Wizard. We’ve known all along how incredible this ground breaking product is, but to have the Australian International Design Awards recognise it with this prestigious Design Award™ – now means we can start to tell the world!” Frank said.
The Australian International Design Awards has been rewarding design and innovation excellence in Australia for more than 50 years, promoting new, innovative and well designed products in Australia and throughout the world. The Design Award™ trade mark is a highly respected symbol that gives consumers confidence they are buying a good product, and provide businesses with a strong point of differentiation from their competitors.
For a product to qualify for the Design Award™ trade mark, it must exceed the five criteria for good design; form, function, quality, safety and sustainability, and additionally, meet the criterion for design excellence and innovation. Climate Wizard’s innovative design and ground breaking technology met and exceeded these requirements. Climate Wizard is an indirect cooling system that delivers very cold temperatures inside – even when it’s over 40 degrees Celsius outside – at a fraction of the cost of refrigerated systems. Climate Wizard works by using the natural cooling power of evaporation to dramatically reduce air temperature – without adding any moisture. It is typically able to cool hot ambient air by up to 35°C, depending on the ambient air temperature and the humidity.
The Australian International Design Award is the sixth award Seeley International’s Climate Wizard product has picked up in the past two years, along with many finalist accolades.
